Der Hochschulsport Dortmund bietet keine eigenen Segelkurse an. Mögliche Segelausbildungen werden vom Universitäts-Segel-Club Dortmund e. V. organisiert. Mehr Informationen findet ihr hier sowie auf der Homepage des USC. Für dieses Angebot ist keine Sportkarte notwendig.
Segeln beim USC
Segeln ist ein faszinierendes Hobby: Ob mit der Jolle auf Binnenseen oder mit der Yacht an der Küste oder auf hoher See. Man ist in der Natur und erlebt die Kraft von Wind und Wellen hautnah.
In unserer Jollenausbildung am Hengsteysee fangen wir mit den Basics des Segelns an und ihr habt die Möglichkeit, innerhalb von ca. 3 Monaten das Segeln zu erlernen. Die Kurse laufen von Anfang Mai bis Mitte Juli in 8 Einheiten von je 3 Stunden. Dabei besteht jede Gruppe aus 6 bis 10 Schülern, die sich auf 3 bis 5 Jollen verteilen.
Im Juli und August werden Freisegeleinheiten angeboten, in denen ihr Praxis sammeln könnt und Segelmanöver und BoB (Boje-Über-Bord) vertieft.
Als Ergänzung zur praktischen Ausbildung bieten wir für Studierende der TU Dortmund im Mai einen kurzen Theorieunterricht von 2 mal zwei Stunden an.
Die Praxisausbildung wird nur im Sommersemester angeboten; im Winter findet der Theorieunterricht statt. Wer will, kann die Ausbildung Ende August mit der praktischen Prüfung zum Sportbootführerschein (SBF) Binnen abschließen, die Prüfungsgebühr beträgt 126,77 €.
Wer Lust hat weiterzumachen, kann den SBF See erwerben und sich danach mit dem Sportküstenschifferschein (SKS) zum Segeln auf hochseegängigen Yachten ausbilden lassen.

Dortmund University Sports does not offer its own sailing courses. Possible sailing courses are organized by the Universitäts-Segel-Club Dortmund e. V. You can find more information here and on the USC Homepage. No sports card is required for this offer.
Sailing at the USC
Sailing is a fascinating hobby: whether with a dinghy on inland lakes or with a yacht on the coast or on the high seas. You are out in nature and experience the power of wind and waves up close.
In our dinghy training on Lake Hengstey we start with the basics of sailing and you have the opportunity to learn to sail within approx. 3 months. The courses run from the beginning of May to mid-July in 8 units of 3 hours each. Each group consists of 6 to 10 students, spread over 3 to 5 dinghies.
In July and August, free sailing units are offered in which you can gain practical experience and deepen your knowledge of sailing maneuvers and BoB (buoy overboard).
In addition to the practical training, we offer a short theory course of 2 x 2 hours for TU Dortmund University students in May.
Practical training is only offered in the summer semester; theory lessons take place in the winter. If you wish, you can complete the training at the end of August with the practical examination for the inland boating license (SBF), the examination fee is 126.77 €.
If you want to continue, you can acquire the SBF See and then train to sail on ocean-going yachts with the Sportküstenschifferschein (SKS).
